Qualifications: Civil, industrial, metallurgical, mechanical, materials or related engineer.

Knowledge / Experiencie (Skills):

  • Minimum experience of 5 years of proven experience in the sector, preferably in infrastructure projects related to pipelines, static equipment or industrial facilities.
  • Management and application of national and international regulations applicable to the design and construction of civil works.
  • Specialized knowledge in the integrity and reliability of static equipment, including failure analysis, inspection, and preventive maintenance.
  • Knowledge of U.S. standards (e.g., ACI, AISC, ASME, ASTM, API) will be an asset.
  • Knowledge of relevant national and international standards and codes of good practice.
  • Have a solid technical background in the design and layout of industrial facilities and infrastructures, preferably but not exclusively in the oil and gas industry in pipeline installations, tank farms, process plants, etc.
  • Communication skills in English

Responsibilities:

  • Review of engineering documents to ensure their compliance with technical and regulatory requirements.

  • Verification of the quality dossier that includes consumables, equipment and certifications of the technical personnel involved.
  • Support in the preparation and review of the technical documentation necessary for permitting procedures and regulatory studies.
  • Technical support in the review and verification before and after the shipment of materials and equipment, to ensure that they meet the standards of quality, quantity, adequate packaging and that they have the required documentation.
  • Supervision and inspection of the works executed by project contractors, ensuring compliance with engineering documents, contractual specifications, Mexican regulations and good professional practices.
  • Preparation of calculations by hand or with the use of proprietary and in-house software, design reports, and collaboration with CAD designers in the production of civil plans.
  • Technical assistance in the preparation of specifications, reports and presentations, and input into feasibility studies, design bases, etc.
  • Support for the organization and prioritization of work with the different disciplines to guarantee maximum efficiency and performance.
  • To determine the scope, carry out or manage and supervise studies of virgin, abandoned or existing land.
  • Participation and support in coordinating and interrelating with personnel from other disciplines and client engineers, as needed, to carry out interdisciplinary design work. 
  • Preparation of periodic reports on the progress of the work for the GCN project, covering all the technical and administrative aspects implemented in the project.
  • Supervision of the construction, the equipment and materials that make up the GCN, the corresponding tests and the commissioning stage.
  • Timely identification of non-conformities, issuance of technical reports and follow-up on corrective and preventive actions.
  • Review and issuance of observations on REDLINE and AS-BUILT documentation, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Review and compilation of the documentation required to obtain the required opinions from the verification units.
  • Supervision of compliance with the Integrated Management Systems (IMS) and SASISOPA during all phases of the project.
  • Be familiar with the technical documentation and regulations related to related disciplines to ensure integration and coherence in the development of the project.
  • Supervise and provide technical support in the activities of excavations, capping, compacting, opening and conditioning of the right of way.
  • Provide technical assistance to ensure that the company's health, safety and environmental (HSE) policies are effectively implemented in all phases of the project, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and promoting best practices in the workplace
