Sr. Engineer - PMC Procurement (Material Coordinator) - office based
Sr. Engineer - Procurement (Material Coordinator) responsible for coordinating, monitoring, and expediting procurement and material management activities on behalf of the Project Management Consultant (PMC). The role ensures timely availability of materials in line with project schedules, technical specifications, and contractual requirements while maintaining effective coordination between engineering, procurement, vendors, and site teams.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related discipline).

Typically, minimum 15 years of experience in procurement, material coordination, or supply chain roles within PMC, EPC, or Owner organizations.
- Minimum 5 years offshore Project Experience is Mandatory.

Strong experience in oil & gas, energy, infrastructure, or industrial projects preferred.
Skills & Competencies

Strong understanding of procurement workflows, material management, and project controls.

Familiarity with international codes, standards, and vendor practices.

Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, and procurement/project management systems (e.g., SAP, Primavera, etc.).

Excellent coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Main Responsibilities

Procurement & Material Coordination
-
Coordinate procurement activities between Engineering, Client, EPC Contractors, Vendors, and Site teams.

Review and track Material Requisitions (MRs), Purchase Orders (POs), and vendor documents for compliance with project requirements.

Monitor procurement schedules and material delivery status against the approved project baseline.

Maintain detailed material tracking logs, procurement status reports, and dashboards.

Interface with vendors to monitor manufacturing progress, inspections, testing, and dispatch schedules.

Support expediting activities to ensure on-time delivery of critical materials.

Identify potential delays and proactively propose mitigation actions.

Ensure materials conform to approved technical specifications, drawings, and standards.

Support bid evaluations and technical clarifications when required.

Verify procurement documentation aligns with contractual and quality requirements.

High attention to detail with strong reporting and documentation skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
