Specialist, Corrosion / Material

A Specialist Corrosion/Material role involves preventing and mitigating corrosion in industrial assets, ensuring their integrity and longevity. Key responsibilities include selecting appropriate materials, developing corrosion control strategies, conducting risk assessments, and implementing monitoring systems. They also play a vital role in failure analysis, providing technical support, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Qualification Required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in materials engineering, chemical engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 17+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry in the similar role.
  • Professional certification, such as certification from NACE International, is preferred.
  • Proven experience in corrosion engineering in the oil and gas onshore projects
  • Previous experience in the ADNOC project on a PMC role is a must
  • Strong knowledge of corrosion mechanisms, prevention, and mitigation strategies.
  • Experience with designing and implementing corrosion monitoring systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address corrosion issues effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
