Senior Process Safety Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Process Safety Engineer with 15+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge in loss prevention, process safety management, and a proven track record in onshore operations. Additionally, experience in a Project Management Consultancy (PMC) role is essential. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety, integrity, and risk management of all processes, operations, and facilities in the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and provide expertise in process safety and loss prevention for onshore oil and gas operations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain process safety management systems in line with industry standards.
  • Conduct hazard identification, risk assessments, and develop risk management strategies.
  • Analyze process safety incidents, provide root cause analysis, and develop corrective actions.
  • Provide leadership and guidance on safety-related issues across various projects and operational teams.
  • Perform process safety audits and ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and safety teams to ensure seamless integration of process safety principles into daily operations.
  • Lead process safety reviews and risk assessments for new projects, ensuring design safety and compliance.
  • Assist in the development and execution of emergency response plans and ensure adequate risk mitigation strategies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry with a strong focus on process safety and loss prevention.
  • Extensive onshore experience in process safety management, engineering, and risk assessments.
  • Experience in a PMC (Project Management Consultancy) role, providing oversight and guidance on safety-related aspects of projects.
  • Thorough knowledge of safety standards, regulations, and industry best practices, including HAZOP, SIL, LOPA, and other safety-related methodologies.
  • Proven ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment, collaborating with engineering, operations, and management.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Certification in process safety or equivalent (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is a plus.
