Senior Planning Engineer (Construction/Commissioning)
We are seeking a Senior Planning Engineer with 15 years of experience in the oil and gas sector, specifically in gas processing projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the planning and scheduling aspects of construction and commissioning activities on-site for a major oil and gas project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring alignment with project milestones and deadlines.
- Oversee and track progress of construction and commissioning phases, identifying any potential delays or issues.
- Provide accurate and timely reports on project status, including scheduling, resources, and risks.
- Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of project phases.
- Review and validate contractors’ schedules, ensuring adherence to project timelines.
- Lead the preparation of periodic progress reports, highlighting key achievements, concerns, and corrective actions.
- Assist in the identification of schedule risks and propose mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate with PMT (Project Management Team) and other departments to ensure timely resolution of scheduling conflicts or delays.
- Ensure the safe and efficient execution of all activities, complying with all relevant standards and regulations.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or relevant field.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in planning and scheduling in the oil and gas industry, with a focus on construction and commissioning.
- Strong experience in gas processing projects.
- Extensive experience working in a PMC (Project Management Consultancy) role.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale oil and gas projects.
- Experience with ADNOC projects is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in planning software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Strong knowledge of project management practices and relevant industry standards.
