Senior Integrity Engineer - Looking to fast track into a Principal Engineer

Salary - Circa £Negotiable depending on experience - Flexible Benefits Fund

Penspen www.penspen.com are looking for Senior Engineer to fast track into a Principal Engineer for our Asset Integrity team to be based Hybrid from Newcastle.

 

Main Purpose of Role:

  • Technical – carry out asset integrity consultancy work, such as researching problems, engineering calculations, preparation of reports etc. Provide technical support to graduate engineer as required.
  • Project management – manage small projects in accordance with all relevant company procedures and agreed contracts. Interface directly with clients to present methodologies, results, project progress etc.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Executing pipelines and pressure systems integrity (FFS / RBI) assessments liaising closely with project team and governance of the Chief Discipline Engineer (CDE)
  • Providing guidance and supervision to young engineers , and support their competency development accordance with company performance system.
  • Interface and provide clarification, guidance and technical support to the client on on-going projects
  • Produce hand calculations as well as MathCad or spreadsheet models as and when required.
  • Producing high quality reports and presentations as part of the project, supporting project manager.
  • Check calculations and reports produced by other engineers in accordance with company QAQC procedures. .
  • Develop technical bids and proposals to support Proposal team. Able to identify scope of work within Penspen core services and develop execution plans as needed.
  • Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental Management System must be implemented within the area of operation as per the company approved procedures and ISO Standards.

 

Knowledge / Experience (Skills):

  • Knowledge of FFS relevant codes and standards (such as API 579, ASME B31G etc.)
  • High level of computer literacy with MS Office (specifically Word & Excel) and experience of other specific analysis software packages (e.g. MathCAD)
  • Good communication skills in English, verbal and written

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 15 years of relevant engineering and management experience in the Oil and Gas
  • Bachelor’s degree qualification in Mechanical engineering or similar. Master’s degree is an advantage.
  • NACE accreditation is an advantage.
