Senior Engineer, Quality - Pipeline

Penspen is hiring a dynamic Senior Engineer, Quality - Piepline to join our team in Abu Dhabi for a PMC project.

Experienced Quality Engineer with extensive expertise in pipeline projects within the oil & gas sector projects. Responsible for developing and implementing Quality Management Systems, ensuring compliance with specifications, international standards, and project requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain project Quality Management Systems (QMS) in compliance with requirements, project specifications, and international standards.
  • Review and approve Quality Plans, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, and quality procedures for pipeline construction activities.
  • Monitor and oversee QA/QC activities related to pipeline fabrication, welding, coating, installation, hydrotesting, and commissioning.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards such as ASME, API, ISO, and specifications.
  • Coordinate inspections with clients, consultants, third-party inspection agencies, and project teams.
  • Review welding procedures (WPS/PQR), welder qualifications, NDT reports, and material certification documents.
  • Conduct internal quality audits, site inspections, surveillance activities, and quality performance assessments.
  • Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure proper documentation, turnover dossiers, and quality records are maintained and submitted as per project requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to QA/QC engineers and inspectors.

Qualification Required.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering is Mandatory.
  • Minimum 15+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry in the similar role.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in large-scale EPC projects within the Middle East, preferably ADNOC Group.
  • Experience with major capital projects in the middle east (EPC environment preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of pipeline construction, welding, NDT, coating, hydrotesting, and commissioning activities
  • Experience in managing client inspections, audits, and project quality compliance
  • Proficiency in quality documentation, reporting, and stakeholder coordination.
