Senior Engineer, Mechanical Rotary - Site

Abu Dhabi

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer – Rotary Equipment to join our PMC team for a major oil & gas project. The successful candidate will provide mechanical engineering support and technical oversight for rotating equipment installation, construction, testing, commissioning and start-up activities at site.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
• Minimum 12–15 years of relevant oil & gas experience, preferably with major EPC/PMC organizations.
• Strong experience in rotating equipment engineering, construction, installation and commissioning.
• Previous experience working in a PMC site environment is highly preferred.
• Experience in upstream oil & gas, gas processing, gas treatment, production facilities or similar projects is preferred.
• Strong experience with pumps, compressors, turbines, gearboxes and mechanical packages.
• Experience working with EPC contractors, equipment vendors and specialist subcontractors.
• Good understanding of mechanical completion, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
• Knowledge of relevant international codes and standards such as API, ASME, ISO and applicable project specifications.
• Strong understanding of equipment alignment, vibration, lubrication, piping connections and rotating equipment installation requirements.
• Excellent coordination, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a site-based, multicultural project environment.
