Senior Engineer - Construction - Rigging
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Rigging Engineer with a strong background in oil & gas projects to lead and manage all rigging and heavy lifting activities on-site. With over 15 years of field experience and a solid engineering background, you will be responsible for developing lift plans, ensuring safety compliance, supervising critical lifts, and safety compliance, supervising critical lifts, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and oversee safe rigging and lifting operations for heavy equipment and modules on oil & gas construction sites.

Develop detailed rigging studies, lift plans, and method statements for critical and non-critical lifts.

Supervise execution of lifting operations, including crane setup, load path, and safety precautions.

Ensure compliance with industry standards (LOLER, ASME B30.5, OSHA, etc.) and project HSE requirements.

Review and approve rigging equipment and lifting gear certifications.

Coordinate with engineering, construction, and HSE teams to ensure smooth and safe operations.

Conduct on-site inspections and resolve technical issues during lifting operations.

Support training and mentoring of rigging crews and junior engineers.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Civil, or Structural Engineering.

15+ years of experience in rigging and lifting operations, with a strong focus on oil & gas projects (onshore/offshore).

In-depth knowledge of heavy lifting techniques, crane operations, rigging hardware, and safety procedures.

Familiarity with international standards such as ASME, API, LOLER, and OSHA.

Proficient in lift planning software and AutoCAD (preferred).

Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
