Senior Construction Engineer, HSE

Location: Abu Dhabi 

We are looking for experienced PMC Senior Construction Engineer – HSE with a strong background in oil & gas construction, brownfield modifications, and live plant environments, for an Onshore project based in Abu Dhabi. 

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and monitor construction HSE activities across all assigned projects
• Ensure strict compliance with ADNOC HSE requirements, project specifications, and statutory regulations
• Supervise EPC contractor performance from site safety and construction HSE perspective
• Review and approve construction method statements, JSA, risk assessments, lifting plans, and PTW documentation
• Conduct site audits, inspections, incident investigations, and safety walkdowns
• Support brownfield tie-in and live plant construction safety management
• Coordinate with PMC, contractor, and client teams for safe project execution
• Drive HSE awareness, toolbox talks, and proactive safety culture at site

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent
• Professional HSE certification preferred (NEBOSH / IOSH / equivalent)
• Extensive experience in construction HSE within oil & gas onshore projects
• Prior PMC / ADNOC Onshore experience highly preferred
• Strong experience in brownfield, tie-in, demolition, and facility modification projects
• Sound knowledge of permit-to-work systems and live operational site safety
• Strong stakeholder and contractor management skills
