Responsibilities:
- Overall Region responsibility for the proposal process, quality standards, brand compliance and pricing / winning strategy.
- Manage all pre-contract commercial matters, including proposal preparation and approvals are in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Enforce use of Penspen Proposal Management Procedure.
- Ensure that all relevant data and information compiled during the tender development phase is considered and made available to all tender team members and approving management.
- Maintain accurate records and files of all the proposal data.
- Liaise with all tender team members to ensure accuracy and compliance with client requirements and the commercial strategy as defined by the Region Sales & Marketing Director and Directors of E&PM, AM and AI business units including but not limited to Contribution and Operating Profit targets.
- Ensure the smooth running of the proposal within the correct time and financial parameters.
- Alert Region Sales & Marketing Director and Directors of E&PM, AM and AI business units (as appropriate) to potential problems in proposal development / production.
- Ensure that all applicable advice is received in connection with support functions including but not limited to finance, tax, insurance, legal, compliance and treasury.
- Prepare, analyse and report win/loss tenders monthly through CRM.
- Supervise commercial handover of Wins to operations during project set-up, ensuring coordination/ administration procedures are in place.
- Ensure all commercial processes are processed through CRM.
- Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
- Must understand and comply with quality, safety and company policies of Penspen.
- Follow Penspen Compliance policies.
- Lead, develop and train the proposal team based in Penspen offices across the UK.
- Carryout regular visits to Penspen UK offices to manage his proposal team, meet with bid managers and Directors of E&PM, AM and AI business units.
- Assist in negotiations and clarifications with clients.
- Assist with building relationships with clients as appropriate.
- Assist with the production of relevant ad-hoc management reports as required.
- Assist with business development activities as required.
- Attend marketing events, conferences, webinar and exhibitions as required.
- Other duties as directed by line manager.
Qualifications / Knowledge / Skills / Experience:
- Ideally an Engineering Degree.
- More than 10 years Oil & Gas industry experience in Engineering Consultancy.
- More than 10 years Regional experience.
- Recent experience in Energy Transition Projects focused on H2, Green Ammonia and Carbon Capture
