Lead Quality Engineer - Piping (Site-Based)
We are seeking an experienced Lead Quality Engineer – Piping to oversee and manage piping quality activities at the project site. The ideal candidate will have 18+ years of experience in the oil and gas sector, with a strong background in piping fabrication, welding, and installation quality assurance and control.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise all site-based piping quality control and assurance activities.

Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, standards (ASME, API, etc.), and client requirements.

Review and approve method statements, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and welding procedures.

Conduct regular inspections, surveillance, and audits on piping fabrication and installation.

Coordinate with construction, engineering, and third-party inspectors for quality-related matters.

Monitor and track quality metrics and maintain comprehensive documentation.

Support the resolution of non-conformances (NCRs) and initiate corrective/preventive actions.

Provide guidance and mentoring to site QA/QC team members.

Participate in final system walk-downs and turnover documentation preparation.
Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.

Minimum 18 years of quality engineering experience in Oil & Gas projects, with a strong focus on piping systems.

In-depth knowledge of welding processes, materials, and piping systems used in the oil and gas industry.

Certifications such as CSWIP 3.1/3.2, AWS-CWI, or equivalent preferred.

Familiarity with international codes and standards (ASME B31.3, API, ISO).

Strong leadership, communication, and documentation skills.

Prior site-based experience on large-scale EPC or brownfield/greenfield projects
