Lead Construction Engineer- Mechanical(Offshore)

Penspen is urgently looking to hire Lead Construction Engineer- Mechanical is to oversee construction activities for oil & gas projects. The ideal candidate will lead site execution, manage contractors, ensure HSE and quality compliance, monitor project progress, and deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise offshore mechanical construction activities in accordance with project specifications, HSE requirements, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, fabrication, and offshore teams to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Manage contractors and subcontractors, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Review construction procedures, method statements, work packs, and mechanical completion documentation.
  • Monitor construction progress, resolve technical issues, and implement corrective actions where required.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and offshore regulations.
  • Support pre-commissioning, commissioning, and project handover activities.
  • Prepare construction reports and provide regular progress updates to project management.

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum 15 TO 18+ years of experience in Oil & Gas Construction, with at least 5 years in a lead role.
  • Minimum 5+ years of offshore experience is mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of offshore process and utility systems.
  • Familiarity with international standards 
  • PMC and EPC Offshore projects experience will be preferred
  • Previous experience in the ADNOC projects in the similar role would be an added advantage
