FFS Integrity Engineer – Client Based

We are looking for FFS Integrity Engineers with 10 years of experience to be based in Abu Dhabi.
Main Purpose of Role:
Technical – Conduct Remaining Life Assessment (RLA) based on the original design code requirements and the calculated and/or the expected corrosion rates.
Responsibilities:
- Executing Fitness-for-Service (FFS) engineering assessments (level 1-3) on damaged static equipment such as Pressure Vessels, Spheroids, Tanks, Heat Exchangers, Boilers, Heaters and Piping Systems to determine their continued integrity for current and future service.
- Determination of acceptability or unacceptability of reported damage to pressure equipment.
- Proposal of remedial measures determining where possible the remaining life, recommending in-service monitoring where appropriate.
- Carry out condition Risk based assessment, to determine the risk associated with the equipment and report it on a risk matrix which forms a part of the deliverable called “PASSPORT”
- Carry out specialized studies related to integrity management of ageing equipment.
- Maximize the benefits of the previous/recent inspection data and past recorded failures in the assessment, increase inspection intervals, and decrease shutdown/turnaround periods.
- Should be able to produce detailed calculations as and when required.
- Producing high quality deliverables as part of the project.
- Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental Management System must be implemented within the area of operation as per the company approved procedures and ISO Standards.
Knowledge / Experience (Skills):
- Knowledge of RBI relevant codes and standards (API 580, API 581)
- Knowledge of FFS relevant codes and standards (such as API 579, ASME B31G etc.)
- Understanding of the assignment of consequences of failure and probability of failure
- Development and preparation of inspection plans for static equipment classes
- Hands on experience of RBI industry software packages (Meridium, E2G etc..)
Qualifications:
- Minimum ten (10) years of asset integrity engineering and experience in the Oil and Gas sector including static equipment and topside pressure equipment
- Expert in FFS, RLA and RBI based international codes, standards and recommended practice
- API 580 certification; API 581; API 579-1/ASME FFS-1; DNV RP G101; ADNOC Guidelines for RBI
- Degree in Mechanical engineering or similar
- NACE accreditation is an advantage.
- Professional membership with an engineering institute (ImechE, ASME etc)
- Experience in Meridium Asset Performance Management Software APM by GE is highly desirable
