UK Based - with regular travel to Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, North East.

Main Purpose of Role:

  • Responsible for managing the Asset Integrity Service Line in Europe £3m annual turnover. This includes project delivery, client account management, business performance, team development and utilization.
  • Responsible for business growth and sales targets working closely with the regional Sales and Marketing teams. Expected to generate £2m base annual sales, stretch target is £3.5m.
  • Proving technical expertise to support clients minimise the risks of assets failure. This includes condition assessments (FFS), life extension, risk management and integrity management systems in line with international codes and standards as well as industry best practices.  
  • Responsible for developing capabilities and collaboration with other service lines/ regions to ensure resources are utilised to achieve KPIs. Support asset integrity software development.
  • P&L accountability, managing budget and controlling service line overheads. 
  • Member of the regional ELT supporting the West business performance, budgeting and growth.

 

Knowledge / Experience (Skills):

  • Minimum 10 years of consulting in the energy industry
  • Previous Team &/ or Department Management Experience
  • Demonstrate excellent technical knowledge in assets fitness for service analysis, risk-based inspection planning, risk management, integrity management systems, repair and maintenance etc.
  • Project management experience
  • Demonstrate commercial awareness, having managed a P&L previously
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to present at international conferences and to clients as well as ability to chair workshops

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in in Mechanical, Materials or similar engineering discipline. Master degree qualification is preferred 
  • Chartered membership of an appropriate institution is desirable

 

 

Key Responsibilities:           

Business Management

  • Deliver Europe regions Asset Integrity annual financial targets: Revenue, Gross Profit, Contribution and Net Contribution
  • Develop the Asset Integrity business working closely with the regional Sales and Marketing teams
  • Develop the Business strategy and budget
  • Evaluate bids and provide commercial and technical input

 

Regional Leadership Team

  • Work with regional RLT to deliver business performance
  • Support the development of the West business strategy and budget

 

Project Management

  • Manage projects as per contracted scope within budgeted, manhours and to high quality
  • Manage client relationships to maintain and develop Asset Integrity business  
  • Ensure suitable resources are assigned to projects/proposals  
  • Manage the CEE/UK consultants to project budget and schedule
  • Ensure Project Performance requirements are met

 

Resource Management

  • Ensure Asset Integrity has sufficient and competent resources to deliver high quality studies
  • Develop technical capabilities for the team
  • Manage staff performance through the Performance@Penspen system
  • Identify and develop capabilities required to develop Asset Integrity business
  • Identify recruitment requirements, succession planning and provide guidance on talent development
  • Ensure utilisation of THEIA software platform and contribute to its development

 

Technical Excellence

  • Ensure that Asset Integrity studies are delivered to high quality and client satisfaction
  • Provide technical expertise in areas including condition assessment, life extension, risk management, repair and maintenance, RBI, AIMS etc.
  • Work with the Centre of Engineering Excellence (CEE) function to ensure technical delivery and development of regional capabilities
  • Be an active member of the Technical Excellence community

 

Quality Management

  • Responsible for overall performance with regards to technical quality in accordance with Quality Plan
  • Ensuring Corporate Technical Assurance requirements have been met
  • Provide leadership, recommendations and drive resolution of technical project related issues
