Construction Superintendent (Mech)

Job Purpose

The Construction Superintendent (Mechanical) will oversee and manage all mechanical construction activities for offshore oil & gas projects, ensuring execution in line with ADNOC standards, project specifications, safety requirements, and schedule commitments.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory).
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in Oil & Gas major projects.
  • At least 8 years of offshore experience in oil & gas projects.
  • GCC experience is mandatory, preferably within ADNOC Group companies.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of offshore construction practices and mechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with ADNOC standards, specifications, and procedures.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong understanding of HSE regulations and best practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple contractors and stakeholders.
  • Good communication and reporting skills

Job Description

Main Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate all mechanical construction activities at offshore sites.
  • Ensure compliance with ADNOC Offshore HSE policies, procedures, and international standards.
  • Monitor contractor performance to ensure work is executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and project schedule.
  • Review and approve method statements, ITPs, and construction procedures.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and other disciplines to resolve technical and construction issues.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to safety standards.
  • Participate in risk assessments, toolbox talks, and safety audits.
  • Track progress and report status, highlighting any delays or risks to project delivery.
  • Ensure proper mechanical installation, testing, and pre-commissioning activities are completed.
  • Interface with ADNOC stakeholders and contractors for smooth project execution.
